Privacy Policy — Water Love
Обновлено: 2026-05-23
This Privacy Policy describes how Water Love ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application on iOS. We have designed Water Love to be a local-first hydration tracker: your personal data lives on your device, and we collect only what is necessary to operate the App, deliver purchases, prevent crashes, and improve the product through privacy-respecting analytics.
By installing or using Water Love you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.
1. Who we are
Water Love is developed and operated by PYF App, an independent two-person iOS studio. For any privacy-related questions, requests, or complaints you can contact us at:
- Email: water.love.support@gmail.com
- Studio: pyf.app
2. Summary at a glance
- We do not require an account, email, or password to use Water Love.
- Your profile, hydration history, achievements, and reminder settings are stored locally on your device.
- We use third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, and subscription management.
- We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
- You can clear your data at any time by deleting the App from your device.
3. Data we process
3.1 Information you provide directly
- Hydration profile — gender, age, height, weight, activity level, climate, wake-up and bedtime hours. Used solely to calculate your recommended daily water intake and personalize reminders. Stored locally on your device.
- Water intake records — drink type (water, tea, coffee, etc.), volume, and timestamp of each entry. Stored locally on your device.
- Reminder preferences — notification times, modes, and sound settings. Stored locally on your device.
- Support correspondence — if you contact us via the in-app "Contact Support" button or by email, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message in order to respond.
Apple categorizes water-intake logs as Health & Fitness data. Although these entries never leave your device unless you choose to share them (for example, by emailing us a screenshot), they are disclosed in our App Store privacy nutrition label as "Health" for transparency.
3.2 Information collected automatically
| Category | Examples | Purpose | | --- | --- | --- | | Identifiers | Anonymous device-generated user ID (Amplitude device ID, Firebase installation ID, RevenueCat anonymous app user ID) | Attribute analytics events and purchases to the same anonymous user across sessions on the same device | | Product interaction | Screens opened, buttons tapped, onboarding completion, paywall views, premium feature attempts | Understand how the App is used and improve features | | Purchase history | Subscription product IDs, trial status, purchase and renewal timestamps, transaction identifiers from the App Store | Unlock premium features, validate receipts, manage trials and renewals | | Diagnostics | Crash logs, stack traces, app version, OS version, device model, locale | Detect, diagnose, and fix bugs and stability issues | | Push token | Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token | Deliver push notifications (only if you grant notification permission) |
We do not collect your name, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, browsing history outside the App, or any government identifiers.
4. How we use the data
- To operate the App — calculate your daily goal, track intake, schedule reminders, unlock achievements.
- To process subscriptions — verify trial eligibility and the active subscription status through Apple App Store and RevenueCat.
- To deliver notifications — both local drink reminders (no data leaves your device) and, where applicable, transactional push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- To improve the product — aggregated, anonymous analytics about feature usage and funnel drop-off.
- To keep the App reliable — automatic crash and performance reports.
- To respond to you — when you contact support.
We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, and we do not run third-party advertising inside the App.
5. Legal bases for processing (EEA / UK users)
- Performance of a contract — to provide the App's core hydration-tracking functionality and to manage your subscription.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the App secure, stable, and improved, in a way that does not override your privacy rights.
- Consent — for push notifications and, where required by local law, for analytics. You may withdraw consent at any time in your device settings.
- Legal obligations — where we are required to retain transactional records (for example, tax or consumer-protection rules).
6. Third-party services we use
We rely on the following processors. Each of them processes data under its own terms and privacy policy:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit — processes subscription purchases on iOS. Apple Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat — manages and validates subscriptions across stores. RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
- Amplitude — product analytics. Amplitude Privacy Policy.
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging) — analytics, crash reporting, and push delivery, operated by Google. Firebase Privacy & Security.
These providers may process data on servers outside your country, including the United States and the European Union. They are contractually required to protect your data and to comply with applicable data-protection laws.
7. Data retention
- Local data (profile, hydration history, achievements, settings) remains on your device until you delete it inside the App or uninstall the App.
- Analytics events are retained by Amplitude and Firebase according to their default retention policies, typically up to 14 months for granular event data, and longer for aggregated metrics.
- Crash reports are retained by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days by default.
- Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat for as long as required to operate the subscription and to comply with tax and accounting laws.
- Support emails are retained for as long as needed to address your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for reference.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Receive a portable copy of the data you provided.
- Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent).
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at water.love.support@gmail.com. Because we do not require an account, we may ask you to provide the anonymous identifiers shown in the App (for example, your RevenueCat App User ID, visible from your subscription receipt) so we can locate the relevant records.
California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents have the right to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of their personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.
9. How to delete your data
- In-app: reset your data from the Account screen or simply uninstall Water Love. Uninstalling permanently removes all locally stored data from your device.
- Subscriptions: manage or cancel your subscription directly in the App Store settings.
- Analytics / crash data: email water.love.support@gmail.com from your support address with your anonymous identifier and we will request deletion from Amplitude, Firebase, and RevenueCat on your behalf.
10. Children's privacy
Water Love is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA / UK). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has used the App and provided personal data, please contact us and we will delete the relevant records.
11. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit (HTTPS / TLS) and at rest. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your device, OS, and store account secure.
12. International transfers
Our third-party processors are located in different countries, including the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside your country of residence, those providers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or comparable mechanisms.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of Water Love after the update means you accept the revised Policy.
14. End-User License Agreement
Water Love is licensed under Apple's Standard End-User License Agreement (EULA), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. By installing the App, you agree to be bound by those terms.
